ABOUT

Wretched Depths is a 3D PSX-style horror fishing game built within the Unity Engine where players are able to explore the eerie locations, catch strange fish and uncover the horrors that lurk below the town's lake. It's available for free on Steam

Tasks

  • AI Fish Behavior

    • This involved building a foundation and prototyping AI fish behavior that would be utilized and built upon​ throughout

  • Dynamic Scene Transitions

    • Created simple functionality that allowed players to seamlessly move from stage to stage​

  • Jump Scare Event Hookup​

    • Primarily worked on the scare which occurred when the character, the Herald, appears behind the player (Second Image below)

  • Jump Scare Event Serialization

    • Worked on developing a system that would manage the different jump scares throughout the game so that each would trigger sequentially​​

  • Day/Night Cycle

  • Whiteboxing (The Town)

  • QA Testing
